My Bio
I'm Cameron Chick, I'm an Independent candidate for U.S. Senate. As a paralegal, small business owner, and advocate for disability rights and civil rights law, I'm committed to bringing a unique perspective to the Senate.
My background is rooted in service and dedication. I've worked as a property manager, personal banker, and paralegal, giving me a deep understanding of the issues that matter most to our community. I'm also a proud member of several national organizations, including the National Paralegals Association and the National Coalition to End Homelessness.
Why I'm Running
As an Independent, I'm not beholden to special interests or party affiliations. I'm free to focus on what's best for New Mexico, not what's best for the career politicians. My opponent, Ben Ray Lujan, has been in politics for years, but I'm the fresh voice our state needs.
I'm running to address the real issues facing our state: affordable housing, public safety, and protecting our fundamental rights. It's time for a change, and I'm the leader who can bring it.

Increasing Affordable Housing: We need more affordable and low-income housing options to address the crisis in our state and across the country.
Addressing Substance Abuse and Mental Health: We must do more to support individuals struggling with substance abuse and mental health issues, rather than ignoring the problem. It's time for a comprehensive plan to create more resources and programs to keep our communities safe.
Protecting Free Speech: As a champion of the First Amendment, I'll always uphold the rights of all US citizens to express themselves freely.

My Key Issues
Housing
We need to address the lack of affordable and low income housing that also will help begin to resolve the Current situation and crisis across the country and here in New Mexico.
Public safety
We need to do a lot more to help individuals who suffer from substance abuse issues and mental health issues instead of continuing to turn a blind eye to it in this country and in our State it's time to come up with a plan and follow thru with those plans to create more programs and resources from A-Z for the individuals in this country suffering from substance abuse issues and mental health issues so we can decrease the incidences where these individuals end up becoming a Dangerous threat to the Publics safety and in a lot of cases it ends in them being gunned down my police or they take their own life
Free Speech
I stand by our constitution and the rights given to all US citizens and will absolutely always uphold the first amendment rights for all us citizens
Career Politics
For years, Washington insiders have promised change. Yet housing costs climb. Crime rises. Bureaucracy grows. Career politicians protect the system. I’m running to disrupt it. Independent leadership means accountability — not loyalty to party bosses. New Mexico deserves better.
Small Business & Economic Growth
I'm a small business owner. I know the pressure — rising costs, regulation, and uncertainty. In the Senate, I’ll push for tax fairness, streamlined regulations, and access to capital for local entrepreneurs. When small businesses grow, New Mexico grows.
